Why should we follow Jesus?

Why not follow Confucius, or Buddha, or Muhammad?

  • After all, millions of others in the world do so today, and have done so down through the centuries!

One of the reasons why we should follow Jesus, rather than Confucius or Buddha or Muhammad, is our lesson for today:

Some of the many prophecies concerning Jesus in contrast to no prophecies concerning others.

  • Jesus Himself taught … 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
  • And the apostles taught the same … Acts 4:11-12 “He is the STONE WHICH WAS REJECTED by you, THE BUILDERS, but WHICH BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone. 12 “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
    • e., Salvation is only in Jesus – and not in Confucius, or Buddha, or Muhammad, or anyone else!

Respect Part 2

We continue our look at part 2 of the topic of Respect through the historical event of Cain and Abel. We see how we should respect ourselves, those we come in contact with (our neighbours) and finish with how Jesus showed respect to God and his neighbours, even though he was faced with difficult circumstances.

The Greatness of Jesus

Hebrews chapter 1 verses 1-4

  1. in these last days has spoken to us in His Son,
  2. whom He appointed heir of all things,
  3. through whom also He made the world.
  4. And He is the radiance of His glory
  5. and the exact representation of His nature,
  6. and upholds all things by the word of His power.
  7. When He had made purification of sins,
  8. He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
  9. having become as much better than the angels,
  10. as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.

We should be speaking as the bible speaks. 
1. Not saying we are ‘witnessing for Jesus’ 
2. Not saying ‘the Holy Spirit guides us apart from the word of God’
3. Not saying there are ‘christians’ in denominations
